The Roscommon Chocolate Company was set up by Karen Gordon in 2010. Originally from the US, Karen moved to Ireland leaving behind a career in the film industry. She had a passion for chocolate work and truffles, training in both Ireland and Paris as a chocolatier before setting up her workshop in rural Co. Roscommon.

 

Upon her retirement she approached our own Benny from Benny’s Deli about possibly taking over her business. Under Karen’s tutelage and with additional support from Athlone IT we began making our own range of handmade artisan chocolate truffles from our premises in Castlerea Co. Roscommon. We now use a fine Belgium Milk and Dark chocolate and have created a dedicated ‘Chocolate Room’ within the business.

 

We sell the chocolates both individually and in gift boxes from our deli in Castlerea.
